A Guide For Safer Crane Truck Operation

Whether you have a crane for sale or you just want to maintain your truck so it can last long, when operating the vehicle there are few things to consider for safer operation. There are many operators and administrators that are recommending safer work and pay attention on the working site.

On the other hand, there are numerous other that are not that much informed, so that's why reading this guide can help you if you're one of them.

Getting a certificate - This is a proof that the operator is well prepared and informed about the safety at the working site and everything around it;

Doing a crane inspection before each operation - This is very routine and standard thing to do so you can avoid mistakes at the working site;

Inspecting the area before each operation - Check if there are other vehicles near the crane that you're operating with and that there are no people around;

Focusing on the work - Getting distracted in some way is not recommended, because unpleasant situations happen in a second, so staying focus is a must!

  1. A couple of my friends and I actually rented a crane truck for a project I'm doing. These things seemed super complicated at first, but man they are useful. Definitely glad I got one and hopefully I can use it on future projects! http://www.maxilift.com.au/unic-mini-crawlers/

  3. This seems like a really helpful guide to help me understand what I should know before operating a crane. I'm glad that you brought up how it's important to check if there are any people or vehicles around the site where I'm working with a crane. Doing that seems like an important safety measure to make sure that I use it safely around others. Thanks for the tips!

  6. Thanks for posting a guide on how to safely operate a crane truck. I never thought to do a crane inspection before each operation, I will definitely do this for future use. I'm glad you mentioned to focus on the work, some people wouldn't think any damage could be caused by, for example, checking their phone really quick, or taking a "selfie". Great article !
